Ark’n About is a Mobile Op Shop initiative of At The Ark Inc., created to bring practical support, dignity, and hope directly into our communities.
More than just a charity shop on wheels, Ark’n About has a two-fold purpose. We provide affordable clothing and essential household items to individuals and families experiencing hardship — particularly those impacted by child sexual abuse, family violence, and domestic violence. At the same time, Ark’n About raises vital funds to support At The Ark’s counselling, trauma recovery, and community education programs.
By bringing our Mobile Op Shop to neighbourhoods, community events, and partner locations, we meet people where they are, offering support in a welcoming and respectful way. Every item sold has been generously donated by our community and lovingly prepared by volunteers — turning everyday goods into meaningful change.
Currently, Ark’n About operates using a generously loaned trailer while we work toward purchasing our own permanent Mobile Op Shop, which will allow us to expand our reach and help even more families in need.
